Laplace has delivered a monitoring system at the West Durham Wind Farm. These advanced monitoring systems use an alarm dialler to annunciate faults. This allows the authorised personnel to dial-in using a secure VPN connection to the PLC & HMI and decide if a site visit is required. The PLC extracts information from the protection relays which allows informed decisions to be made on the personnel required to visit the site.
